Semantic Technologies in Action Workshop 2012 The 7th IKS workshop took place in Salzburg on 12-13 June 2012. More than 100 experts and professionals gathered in Salzburg to discuss and demo semantically enabled technologies for the enterprise. The two-day event took the format of demonstrations on the first day and exploration of the IKS technologies behind the demos on the second day. The demonstrations were predominantly by early adopters of IKS technology; both the back-end enhancement tools of Apache Stanbol and the UI interaction framework VIE & VIE Widgets were on display. |

Report on Material for Industrial Training for IKS We give an overview of the IKS material that can be found on-line, to be used for industrial training. In the third and fourth year, IKS has moved from a hybrid approach (closed and open access/source) to a completely open process. This is witnessed by the graduation of Apache Stanbol to a full ASF project in September 2012 and by the adoption of the front-end technologies VIE and create.js, in several large content management systems, among them Typo3 and Drupal release 8. |

IKS Stack Validation Report Update This report establishes ways by which CMS providers can assess the semantic capabilities of their frameworks as well as the semantic skill levels of their development staff. In consequence, this report consists of two parts. The first part addresses the technical benchmark of a CMS and the second part focuses on measuring the skills of developers with respect to semantic concepts and technologies. |

End User Perception of Semantic CMS Applications This deliverable develops and tests a user-oriented content-support acceptance model (CSAM) which helps to better understand the phenomena of content service adoption. Additional, it provides recommendations on how to improve existing IKS-related content services. In this regard, a literature review on adoption constructs is conducted from which then CSAM is developed. |

IKS Early Adopter Report The total number of early adopter contracts signed as part of the IKS Early Adopters Programme amount to 36 plus the 5 from the UI/X Challenge - this represents a total of 41 IKS early adopters. Of the 16 new early adopter contracts signed in 2012 a great majority of them completed their validation work in the second half of the year. |

IKS 2011 Annual Public Report 2011 was the “make or break“ year for IKS: we followed some of the recommendations of our advisory board, notably Hans Akkermans who suggested that we should be more conscious of the trade-offs between “academic“ and “industrial“ objectives. We opted to focus on the industrial objectives and in the course of 2011, we were able to strengthen the profile of IKS in this respect. |
